Since 1973, CCEI has been innovating in the design and manufacture of solutions for swimming pools and their environment. With an international presence, 10 subsidiaries and over 150 employees worldwide, CCEI's mission is "our energy to innovate durably", to offer responsible products in line with the company's values.
To celebrate its 50th anniversary, CCEI has given itself a new graphic charter: a new baseline, a new logo and, of course, a new website!
We worked hand-in-hand with CCEI right from the start of the project to define the objectives to be achieved and the scope of action.
Once the needs had been clarified, the scope of action became clearer and the project was split into two main phases:
Our teams did their utmost to ensure that CCEI teams could check off all their expectations via a 100% customized Strapi back office. The result is illustrated by :
A needs definition workshop: briefing, presentation of the company, existing situation and definition of the technical and functional scope.
Creative workshops: each page was designed to meet user needs while respecting the brand universe and the new CCEI graphic charter.
Integration in accordance with the validated models, with CCEI's shared content inserted on the Monday and Google Drive collaborative tools.
A beta version tested by Smotly and CCEI for end-to-end quality control
Customized training to enable CCEI teams to get to grips with Strapi's back office according to the access rights set up. Thanks to this training, CCEI teams can manage and animate the site with complete autonomy!
Gradual roll-out to all 10 subsidiaries, with updated content and variations specific to each subsidiary.
For this project, we used the Node.js-based open-source CMS Strapi. This headless solution offers great flexibility by decoupling the front end (display) from the back end (data management). Take a look at our article on headless architectures and on Strapi for more information!

This is the second time we've worked with Smotly, and we're as satisfied as ever! The work carried out to design our new website, on the occasion of CCEI's fiftieth anniversary, was a real success.
