Since 1989, the Scutum Group has made its mark on the high-quality security and safety market. With its 360° Cyber by Scutum offering, the company meets the needs of its customers, from expatriate safety to corporate protection against cyber risks.
With a presence in 10 countries and growing, an e-commerce website to complement the group's corporate showcase site was needed to highlight Scutum's expertise, integrity and professionalism.

Until our intervention, the Cyber by Scutum offer was represented only on one page of the group's corporate website. The offer was not very detailed, with only a few lines of general presentation. The need was clear: to create an e-commerce site for online sales of dematerialized solutions.
Behind this main objective lie a number of secondary objectives:
Enable online subscription and make the e-commerce site the main subscription channel
Promote the Cyber by Scutum offer, highlighting Scutum's expertise and experience.
Improve and facilitate the user experience, in particular through access to a dashboard from a 100% personalized customer area
Deploying an SEO-ready and SEO-friendly e-commerce site
One of the special features of the Scutum site is the type of products it offers in dematerialized form: license subscriptions. In addition to this main requirement, the site needed to implement SEPA direct debit payments. By combining the power of Stripe for payment and subscription management with the flexibility and robustness of BigCommerce, our teams rose to the challenge and came up with an innovative solution perfectly suited to Scutum. To take full advantage of Stripe's functionalities, we set up an API integration between BigCommerce and Stripe.
Several aspects of Stripe were used for this project:

The move to an e-commerce site has increased the range of information available on the offer, while enabling online subscription.
Requirements scoping workshops including: briefing, company presentation, existing situation, definition of technical and functional scope, comparison and study of market and competition.
Creative workshops Workshops: construction of personas, definition of tree structure, structuring of wireframes, application of the graphic charter, coloring of wireframes via the mock-up phase.
Integration in line with validated layouts with insertion of content provided by Scutum
Recipe phases Internal and external testing: the entire site was tested on all media and browsers, for end-to-end quality control.
A day of training Training: Scutum teams take charge of the BigCommerce and Strapi back office to maintain autonomy in content editing and management, as well as customer management.
Unlike many e-commerce sites, Scutum's site doesn't offer a catalog of tangible products, but only two dematerialized products, and a single one at the site's launch. This product typology necessitated the implementation of specific functionalities for a totally adapted and fluid customer journey.

Working with the Smotly web agency to design our e-commerce site proved to be a real success.
Floriane's project management was exemplary, ensuring effective monitoring and coordination of tasks. Thomas, the technical manager, has a perfect command of BigCommerce and was able to guide us towards the best choices in terms of peripheral tools (CRM, support tool, payment solution, double authentication tool...) which he integrated efficiently thanks to his expertise in APIs.
