Google announced it a few months ago and this time it’s done. Since April 21, 2015, non-mobile-friendly sites have been penalized in mobile searches.
This decision seems completely justified insofar as the share of internet traffic coming from mobiles now seems to be the largest in many countries and this trend is unlikely to be reversed.
It's not too late to fix it and if you have any doubts about the compatibility of your site, you can very easily test it with this free Google tool: Mobile compatibility test
