Project context
Pool Planet sells smart pool equipment and supports customers throughout the product lifecycle.
The redesign had to improve performance, conversion, customer relations and operational data flows.
Since 2010, Pool Planet has offered professional-quality pool equipment at reduced prices, from lighting and water treatment to filtration and cleaning.
Connected products help customers reduce water, electricity and chemical consumption while making pool maintenance easier.
The previous PrestaShop solution had become limiting and outdated. Pool Planet needed a smoother, faster journey that could support customers before, during and after purchase.
The client worked upstream on the redesign so the layout matched Pool Planet's content, user journeys and commercial goals.
BigCommerce was selected to avoid the constraints of the old PrestaShop base. In a headless setup, the front end and back office are decoupled, making the experience more flexible.
The PWA mobile version improves speed, responsiveness and conversion for mobile users.
The project included scoping workshops, design review, headless integration, business-flow management, QA and launch preparation.
Product pages use dynamic filters, complementary-product suggestions, advice blocks, a chatbot and verified-review anchors to guide and reassure customers.
The e-commerce project also manages flows between BigCommerce, Dolibarr ERP, marketplaces and DPD delivery.
The site is available on mobile as a Progressive Web App, combining responsive display with app-like benefits such as speed, updates and geolocation.
